Sheldon Jackson College says goodbye and congratulations to Residence Life Director Susan Oines and Program Coordinator Hans Oines. This September they will be spending a semester in Millstatt, Austria volunteering with the organization A Vision For Life.

A Vision For Life, associated with Calvary Chapel, offers a twelve week program in Austria which includes personal quiet time and devotions, various classes taught by missionaries and guest speakers, practical service, discipleship trips to see what God is doing in Europe, fellowship, worship and more. A Vision For Life offers participants an opportunity to experience life beyond the familiarity of home and set oneself apart for a time of drawing close to Jesus Christ.

Susan and Hans enjoy volunteering and found that this program is geared towards college students seeking life direction that is Christian spiritually focused. They have friends that work for the organization and didn’t want to miss out on this unique opportunity.

Susan and Hans are making plans to return to Sitka to work Sheldon Jackson College summer camps. The college community wishes them safe travel and a safe return.
